Monster Hunter where there was a ton of new information, a new trailer, a new ice area that’s now confirmed, and additional new monsters to the roster, so here is a quick rundown and recap and we’ll have even more details and a breakdown coming tomorrow.
The first thing to know is the new region and we were all hoping and speculating on an ice area and we finally have it now and it’s called the Ice Shard Cliffs.

Ice Shard Cliffs
This looks like a very dark and sinister ice area and I can’t wait to explore it but we did get to see a new monster that will be in this zone, it’s called Hirabami.

It’s a floating and quite scary-looking monster and it does seem to match the visual look of the Switch Axes weapon and armor from the preview trailer. So I think this is the monster that that armor set and weapon come from.
On top of this, many people are going to be very happy to hear that Narcilla is confirmed in the ga, me, and wow, what a glow-up.
Some of the moves that we got to see in the trailer look amazing and the whole Webby area is crazy, we are so happy that she is back. There was a brief moment in the trailer where we got to see a huge new monster.
Ice Shard Cliiffs Apex Monster
which we are speculating is the apex of this new ice area. It looks incredible, kind of like a giant more menacing version of the new Hirabami monster and it does seem very Leviathan-like. Its jaws look crazy and I can’t wait to learn more about this possible apex.
New Arkveld GamePlay
On top of all of this, we got to see some more of Arkveld shown, including some gameplay clips and it even seems to absorb energy from Raidou or Raidou’s nest, which consumes it in this red smoke.

Gore Magala Returns
It is looking nuts and I cannot wait to learn the mechanics of Arkveld 2. Oh and by the way, Gormagala was also shown and confirmed coming back, which is amazing because you know we on the channel here love Gormagala, so Wilds is shaping up to have one hell of a banging roster, even just for launch.
Second Open Beta Test
They had a big section as a reminder for the upcoming second open beta test, but the biggest thing to know is the new additions that were revealed for this new second beta test. The second mystery monster that we did talk about in previous videos is now revealed and it is the flagship Arkveld.
So you can fight Arkveld in this new open beta test and they did say it’s going to be a very challenging hunt. On top of this, the second open beta test will also have a training area in it, where you can practice your moves as well as private and single-player lobby modes available.
Cosmetic Elements Shown
There were even new cosmetic elements shown, with layered armor for the hunter and police being registered whenever you craft equipment, and the sacred can also be colored when you progress far enough in the story, including customizing pop-up tents with additional decorations outside of it and the background music.

One really interesting thing for veteran hunters though, is that the guild card system has now changed and it will now be your hunter profile. It looks like an upgraded system with a lot of customization, so it’s looking pretty cool.
Photo Mode
Now if you’re anything like us, we love a good photo mode in games and they’ve finally shown it in detail and it looks really good. You can even pause the game in a single-player to get the perfect picture, and honestly, I always appreciate a good photo mode.
There was a bit of a rundown for registering and linking your Capcom ID to get additional item packs, as well as free gestures and other goodies in the store after release.
if you were thinking of pre-ordering the deluxe edition, they also showed off a bunch of the cosmetics that you can get in that, or buy it separately as a pack, including layered armor, face paints, stickers, and more.
Event Quests
Perhaps one of the most exciting things when it comes to post-launch content, is that we got a little hint at event quests that are confirmed, offering rewards including armor from the looks of it, so after the game launches we can expect some good event quests, but we’ll have to wait and see how good those rewards are.
